CLAY STOP-MOTION MOVIE MAKING WORKSHOP - This Stop Motion Masterclass is a fun and creative introduction to the exciting world of animation!
Children will work in small teams to plan and create their own short stop-motion animated film. Using plasticine and simple craft materials, they will design and make their own characters, models, and sets, then bring them to life frame by frame.
With the help of iPads and child-friendly animation apps, participants will learn how to animate their models, add movement, sound effects, music, and titles, and turn their ideas into a finished film. Everyone in the team will have a role, encouraging collaboration, creativity, and shared problem-solving.
Along the way, children will develop skills in storytelling, teamwork, and digital creativity while having fun and experimenting with animation techniques.
At the end of the masterclass, each team will have created a completed short animated film, and a copy of their animation will be shared so they can celebrate and showcase their work.
This workshop is designed to be inclusive, hands-on, and confidence-building, making it suitable for children of all abilities.
Facilitated by Can Do Academy.
Ages: 6-11 / Duration: 2hrs 30mins.
